Beginning in Spring of 2010, the Office of Faith and Learning is sponsoring a monthly luncheon for all Biola faculty entitled “Table Talk”.
Table Talk will provide continuing education for all Biola faculty in theology and the integration of faith and learning. Each month we will attach key elements of traditional systematic theology to the grand narrative of Scripture: the progressive manifestation and advancement of the Kingdom of God. We will also consider how these elements of the Kingdom intersect with human culture and the created order.
Our hope is to gradually develop a resource of core theology for those who have less complete biblical and theological training when they join our faculty, as well as a deeper appreciation of the academic disciplines for those whose primary training is in the theological discplines. For all faculty, it will stimulate our thinking and our worship of Christ in every aspect of the created order and every sphere of human endeavor.
